This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in growing a career in Human Resources. Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a dynamic professional with exceptional multi-tasking skills and attention to detail to assist in the coordination of Guest Agreements for non-Laboratory researchers, students, and subject matter experts visiting the Laboratory.
Reporting to a senior-level employee and the Group Leader of the HR Office of Diversity and Strategic Staffing, the Guest Agreement Specialist 1 will provide resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope related to the production and maintenance of Guest Agreement records. The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of Laboratory organizations and learn about foreign visitors and assignments. What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Developing professional knowledge of and experience working with basic HR-related policies, practices, procedures, and/or records, including the demonstrated ability to work with and protect confidential information.
Demonstrated experience processing administrative documents and/or records, including the ability to accurately process multiple documents/records simultaneously with great care and detail when the analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Demonstrated ability to build productive internal and external working relationships, including successfully collaborating and engaging with other customers/clients, employees, other HR professionals, and managers.
Education and Years of Relevant Experience
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job.
Electronic File Systems
Experience moving file systems from paper to electronic processes highly preferred.
Current Laboratory Systems
Knowledge of Los Alamos National Laboratory systems, especially Oracle, the Foreign Visit Tracking System (FVTS), Broadsoft, and/or Remedy are preferred, but not required.
Special Notes to Applicants:
This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. The Telework Pilot is in effect from Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, but may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion.

Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served at least one year of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
