MultiMedia Developer Lead

Job Description

Premium video content is one of the Enterprise Brand Strategy and Management team’s most powerful and effective tools in telling the stories of ASU and making emotional connections with our audiences that build affinity for the ASU brand.

The senior video editor we are looking for has a gift for finding that perfect shot, transition, sound bite, music track and/or motion graphic to bring narrative concepts to life. If you are passionate about the digital evolution of film and have a wizardry-like command of post-production software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, etc.), then we want to meet you. The senior video editor will work side-by-side with the team’s talented filmmakers, photographers, writers and designers as the lead editor on video projects that range from short form video (15, 30, 60 second formats), animation elements, cutting and recutting commercials and more.

So, what would your day look like? Varied, for sure, but it will definitely include taking raw camera footage and audio from our videographers and working your magic – adding music, sound effects, special effects, motion graphics, lower thirds, color correction, audio mixing and ensuring compliance with ASU brand standards – everything that preparing “best in class” video for broadcast and/or online publishing entails, with the highest of quality standards. You’ll work in close alignment with the team to optimize workflow speed and efficiency, and with the creative director producer to define and evolve our work. You’ll stay on top of the latest software updates and releases, plug-ins and industry best practices to share your knowledge with the team so we can continually upskill together. At times you’ll be juggling multiple high-priority projects at once.

The candidate we seek is a respectful, professional communicator, as well as a flexible, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced and constantly changing deadline-driven environment.

This position reports to the Creative Director Producer.
