JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversees technical initiatives with cross-departmental or enterprise-wide applicability.
  • Works with potential customers to understand their requirements.
  • Proposes technical solutions, gathers information for estimates, manages vendor relations, and coordinates project from proposal stage through installation.
  • Assumes responsibility for success of specific technology deployment at Emory.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Establishes and implements training processes and strategies for all technical personnel.
  • Analyzes, plans, and develops requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects.
  • Assigns and oversees the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones.
  • Holds and facilitates daily standup team sessions to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Determines and defines clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
  • Researches and evaluates hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company.
  • Updates and maintains all production technologies ensuring proper maintenance and installation.
  • Gathers information for estimates, manages vendor relations, and coordinates project from proposal stage through installation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eight years of experience in implementing technical requirements to support business applications OR a bachelor's degree and six years of experience in implementing technical requirements to support business applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
  • Salesforce experience a plus.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed.  Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
