Brief Job Description
The Director of Institutional Assessment (DIA) provides leadership and support to the full lifecycle of the university’s comprehensive institutional assessment programs. The DIA consults with and assists in planning, design, management, and support of campus-wide data assessment tools including integration of assessment activities and results with institutional accreditation processes. The DIA works closely with and under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and progressive experience relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Knowledge of University data systems, definitions, and procedures.
  • Strong background and experience in managing the full cycle of outcomes-based assessment principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare and present reports effectively.
  • Skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill in responding to requests for information and guidance in a clear, professional, and supportive manner.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
