Senior Sponsored Project Administrator
GSPH-Environmental/Occupational Health - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23003746)
 Performs pre- and post-award accounting duties for very complex grants and contracts. Prepares, negotiates, and monitors very complex grants, contracts, subcontracts, and budgets. Prepares complex government applications and reports and interprets policy and procedure. Monitors account activity, performs internal audits, processes budget modifications, analyzes financials, and reviews routine reports. Develops and implements accounting techniques and procedures for operational improvements and assists with managing special projects and preparing operating budgets.
Position is responsible for all Post-Award activities and assisting Pre-Award administrator during heavy deadlines. The department of Environmental and Occupational Health is a medium sized academic and research department located within the School of Public Health. This position will direct the department’s sponsored accounting function and carry out administrative work related to grants management, budget monitoring, and financial reporting. Knowledge of Department Manager/College administrator/Fiscal Panther preferred. Good accounting, computer, organizational, and administrative skills required. CRA certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Essential Functions Senior Sponsored Projects Administrator is responsible for Post-Award administration of grants and contracts, the accounting function of the Department, and assisting Pre-Award Administrator during heavy deadlines.
Physical Effort Generally sedentary although a great deal of stamina is required during peak periods. Periodic lifting of heavy grant files is required.
