The following job-specific skills and competencies are preferred:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred
  • Experience writing and deploying cross-platform code (Windows, OS X, and Linux)
  • Experience with JavaScript, Angular, Redux or similar scripting language
  • Experience with Python and/or R a plus
  • Experience in software development technologies including distributed versioning systems, hosting platforms like Github, continuous integration, and Agile programming practices
  • Experience working in a research environment, health-related field, and in low and middle income countries (LMICs)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience communicating with people inside and outside of technology, including listening and understanding differing viewpoints and quickly assimilating new information
  • Experience successfully executing multiple projects, priorities, and schedules simultaneously, and meeting all deadlines with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience fostering and reinforcing an environment that values unique experiences, cultures, backgrounds, and goals
