Position Summary:


Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Senior Secretary - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Reception Services - provides reception services to students, faculty, staff, and public; trains and supervises student assistants as necessary.

  • Faculty support - assists with the processing, uploading, downloading, and organizing of book orders, syllabi, and graduate applications.

  • Administrative and technological support.

  • Schedule room reservations; assist with advertising, set-up, scheduling, and clean-up of occasional departmental events.

  • Complete photocopying jobs and assist with minor maintenance of the copier.

  • Maintain confidential passwords and copy codes.

  • Perform data entry for FAU computer/business systems, including Workday.

  • Maintain current email and contact information for department.

  • Monitoring, updating, and organizing of supplies, forms, and files (physical and electronic).

  • Maintain and organize departmental files and records; assist with the submission of background checks and other HR-related and hiring activities.

  • Maintain and update copy of departmental schedule by semesters for the use of Program Assistant.

  • Maintain and process sign-out logs for English departmental property and files.

  • Collect, submit, and maintain a variety of departmental and university forms, including faculty absence requests.

  • Maintain departmental directory.

  • Campus-wide errands - Run errands and attend trainings as necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and three years of appropriate experience required. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Salary:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour.
