About the Opportunity

Job Summary

The Antimicrobial Discovery Center is looking to hire 1 full-time, benefits-eligible Senior Research Technician for immediate start and competitive salary and benefits. We are only seeking applicants who have both significant experience working with mice and microbiology experience. The Sr. Research Technician will join our drug discovery and development team.

Key Responsibilities

-Responsible for assisting, designing, executing, and analyzing in vivo experiments.

-Responsible for performing and analyzing cell assays.

-Responsible for culturing bacteria and performing bioactivity assays.

-Works with senior staff and follows established protocols.

-Assists in general support of lab function as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree 2+ years or Master’s degree (thesis-based Master’s programs only)

-Has at least 2 years of experience working with mice and substantial microbiology experience.

-Preferred skill set (not all required but all preferred): in vivo drug efficacy, thigh infection, BAL collection, intranasal delivery, organ and tissue harvesting, intraperitoneal injection, tail-vein injections.

-Experience working with cell-based assays is beneficial.

-Reliability, organization, and good communication skills are a must.
