Senior Research Specialist (Stem Cell Therapy and Corneal Tissue Engineering Lab) – Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences (Job ID #155007)
The Stem Cell Therapy and Corneal Tissue Engineering Lab is looking for two Senior Research Specialist to join their team.
The University of Illinois College of Medicine have two lab technician position open in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences for studying corneal regenerative therapies using cell and molecular based therapies. The successful applicant will be experienced in handling small animals (mice), molecular biology techniques (RNA/DNA isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, Western blot), cell biology techniques (Cell culture, Primary cell isolation, Immunostaining, Cell-based Immunofluorescence Assays) and Histology (Tissue fixation/processing: embedding, preparation of blocks and sectioning), immunostaining and microscopy. Applicants must be passionate about conducting scientific research, demonstrate integrity, and work effectively as a member of a research team.
