Position Highlights | The purpose of this position is to execute translational studies related to platelet activation, monitoring of platelet and white cell activation with shear, novel drug discovery related to inhibitory mechanisms of platelet and WBC activation. The candidate will also participate in work with microfluidic systems for both research and clinical diagnostic purposes as well as other novel areas of research, newly developed technologies, and areas of exploration. An important component of this position will be to work as part of a team in the daily function of the laboratory. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and participate in all aspects of the contemplated research projects. This includes evaluating research data, revising, improving and monitoring techniques, and developing innovative methods and approaches to solve scientific problems while meeting goals and objectives in accordance with priorities, time, funding and other limitations.
