Position Information

The Per Diem Senior Radiologist Technician is a member of the UCR Student Health Services (SHS) and Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)Team. UCR SHS provides comprehensive medical services to support the health and wellness needs of our highly diverse student body. Under the direction of the Chief physician, performs radiologic procedures and administrative functions for the Student Health Radiology Unit. Independently perform duties/tasks as outlined. Meet as needed with the Chief Physician to discuss operations and concerns.

Please Note: This is a per-diem position. The classification and flat rate for this position are currently under review. The anticipated classification is 8990 RADLG TCHNO SR PD with a step rate of $52.44 an hour.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Graduate of radiology technology training program approved by the American Medical Association or equivalent training. Required

Registered for membership in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Required

18 months of experience in radiologic technology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required
Demonstrated experience working in a college or university environment. Preferred
Minimum Requirements

Skill in operating radiographic film processor.
Skill in using the standard fixed and mobile x-ray imaging equipment.
Ability to assess radiographic film quality.
Oral and written communication skills to collect and clearly conveyinformation to physicians, staff, patients and the public, using correct vocabulary, grammar and tact.
Ability to work as part of a team, and ability to establish cooperativeworking relationships with administrators, supervisors, doctors, peers and public.
