Senior Project Scientist - Robotics

Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute is searching for a Senior Project Scientist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support by [detail how the position supports the department goals/initiatives].

We are seeking creative and upbeat Senior Project Scientist that is responsible for determining priorities for project area based on overall organizational goals. The incumbent will direct the work of project members to ensure goals are achieved. Frequently presents research findings to current or potential sponsors and at major national or international conferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as team leader, providing project management direction.

  • Contributor in developing and documenting research findings and collaborator in writing scientific papers.

  • Lead research efforts within main goals of project, and help coordinate interactions with other team members and universities.

  • Propose and lead independent research goals within scope of projects.

  • Writing documentation, technical papers, progress reports and participating in meetings/committees.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree

  • 8 - 10 years of research experience
