Senior Program Manager

Job Summary

Purdue University’s Office of Experiential Education seeks 2 senior program managers. Under the direction of the center’s director, and in partnership with existing team members, these people will contribute to the office’s mission to support, enhance, and expand undergraduate experiential education at the flagship campus of Purdue University. The senior program managers will support the office’s charge to track experiential education programs and participation by working directly with ExEd Launchpad, the new tracking solution currently under development. Each position will become the office expert on one aspect of the solution – Symplicity CSM or UniHub – functioning as the primary manager of that platform training and supporting other users across the West Lafayette and Indianapolis locations and serving as backup for the other platform. Additionally, the program managers will have responsibility for initiatives and programs within the Office of Experiential Education. Each position will serve as a point person on two or three of the subtypes of experiential education. These subtypes and definitions can be found at: https://exed.purdue.edu/about/about.php

The Office of Experiential Education was created in 2021 with Board of Trustees funding as part of Purdue’s most recent set of strategic priorities. Funding for these positions will extend at least through June 2026.

 

The starting target salary range for this position will be $68,000 - $74,000

 

Hybrid work will be considered for this position based on the candidate’s location and interest.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Four years of experience in experiential education or closely related areas such as career development
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
  • Knowledge of best practices in experiential education, in multiple forms, at the undergraduate level
  • Strong oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and teach others to use them
  • Attention to detail
  • Commitment to student success and equitable outcomes

 

Preferred: 

  • Experience using Symplicity CSM, Symplicity UniHub, or other career engagement platform
