The Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies seeks an individual to develop professional development programs and ensure timely updates for participants, stakeholders, contributors, and the NCORE community.

Essential Duties

  • Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates strategic operational and administrative programs, projects, and/or services of broad significance to the department.
  • Administers, oversees, and coordinates the activities of a range of specified operating and support programs in the department.
  • Provides strategic advice and consultation to leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating modifications and enhancements to existing program operations, systems, and policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the administrative activities of a designated program or programs.
  • Assists in creating program schedules, speakers, venues and overseeing audiovisual equipment needs.
  • Collects and analyzes data and prepares reports related to the program.
  • Ensures compliance with program regulations.
  • Assists in developing and administering budgets for assigned projects and programs.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or required to fulfill functions of the position successfully.
  • Participates in meetings and committees.
  • Develops policies and procedures.
  • Plans and oversees project management.
 

Job Requirements

Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree, AND: 

  • 48 months of related experience.

Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of experience instead of a bachelor’s degree to equal 96 months of related experience.

Skills: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). 
  • Fundamental data analysis and a general understanding of database concepts. 
  • Ability to organize and work in stressful situations to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member. 
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Ability to travel and assist with in-person NCORE conference. 
  • Knowledgeable about current trends related to equity, diversity, and Inclusion. Demonstrated commitment to awareness, education, and advocacy.
  • Knowledge of operating within a university culture and setting
  • Knowledge of continuing education

Department Preferences

  • Master’s degree in Business, Social Work, Human Relations, Non-Profit Management, Philanthropy, Communications, or related fields.
  • Experience in education, accounting, business, program management, social work, or human relations.
