With over 150 programs operating throughout the academic year, we serve approximately 1,000 student participants annually. Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager for Student Enrollment and Access Initiatives for Rutgers Global–Study Abroad. Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Registration Management:
  • Manage registration, enrollment, and de-registration processes for study abroad students.
  • Coordinate course numbers, SRDB coding, and registration for Rutgers students.
  • Administer withdrawal processes, appeals, and financial hold reporting.

Scholarship, Financial Aid, and Billing Management:
  • Oversee scholarship application and award process, liaising with Rutgers Financial Aid.
  • Submit budgets and enrollment reports to the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Manage billing for exchange students and advise on payment procedures.

Financial Advising:
  • Provide financial advising to students individually, in groups, and online.
  • Conduct training sessions for RGSA staff on financial advising.
  • Organize workshops and presentations on financial advising.

Access Initiatives Coordination:
  • Coordinate DEI initiatives to increase underrepresented student participation.
  • Manage administration of access programs, events, reports, and documents.
  • Lead engagement with international higher education organizations on diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of two years professional experience in the field of international education or appropriate combination of education and experience abroad.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective organizational and communication skills a must.
  • Should be able to work on multiple tasks independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with Financial Aid Advising. Proficiency in a foreign language preferred.
  • Previous experience studying and/or working abroad preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
Equipment Utilized
  • The incumbent will be required to work in the Terra Dotta database as well as other university systems for Student Accounting and Financial Aid.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must be available to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Availability to work on some evenings and weekends is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
