Job Description
---
The Senior Producer would serve as the lead producer for digital content production for Oklahoma basketball, ensuring that our best talent is assigned to the area with the most growth potential. Within this role, the individual would be responsible for the creation of all public-facing digital content to drive fan engagement, ticket sales, team affinity and brand empowerment. Further, the individual would pioneer the advanced digital recruiting needs of the department in service of the coaching staff’s internal needs.
Working within the SoonerVision environment, the roles would expand beyond a singular sport focus. An additional task for the Senior Producer would be the identification and development of digital recruiting content that can be applied across any program within Athletics. This content will serve both public & internal needs. With a goal of being ‘sport agnostic’, the content will need to be generated self-sufficiently in support of the programs, while also being available to as-needed requests.
Further, this position would serve as a lead trainer and manager of content created by the Production Assistants within the ‘Sport Contacts’ program. It is the responsibility of the Senior Producer to ensure the quality of the digital content being created. The Senior Producer would be expected to schedule regular trainings with students and develop their skillset in a manner that matches the highest editing standards.
Serving in these roles, the Senior Producer fills two core missions. First, for the University of Oklahoma, this position meets the core mission of the University as a learning institution by dedicating resources to the training and development of undergraduate students. Secondly, the core mission of the Athletic Department is met in serving Student Athletes and promoting the Oklahoma brand through the retention of the highest performing staff.
Lastly, the Senior Producer would continue to serve basic production and creative roles within SoonerVision as assigned. These roles could include studio show or live game production, post-production shoots & edits, creative video development for other areas or the creation of content for new and emerging medias.
