What you will be doing:

The Senior OnBase Application Engineer plays the dual role of analyst and developer by understating customer needs and building custom code & workflows within supported applications. Installs, optimizes, patches, and maintains more sophisticated applications to ensure that these applications perform at their highest levels. Works closely with OS teams, Developers, and Vendors to achieve these goals.

  • Advanced knowledge in a variety of operating systems, scripting languages, network architecture, APIs, and application environment basics.
  • Functions as a technical resource for OS and Development teams.
  • 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Mentors and guides lower-level staff members on more complex issues.

Experience Requirements:

Five (5) plus years of IT experience in a complex, multiplatform environment.

Expert working and conceptual knowledge of Unix, Microsoft, and Linux server operating systems, along with scripting tools, utility software, and high availability software on these platforms.

Experience with administration and configuration of various application platforms and servers.

In-depth knowledge of system and application architectures such as client-server and n-tier and typical application-system dependences and APIs.

Solid Grasp with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory, and related network protocols and services.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, or related Engineering field. (preferred)

OCSA - OnBase Certified Systems Administrator.
