What you will be doing in this role:

The Sr. Marketing Specialist consults with client groups to develop marketing strategies and tactics for their marketing campaigns. Leads multiple complex projects with varied scope. Collaborates with leadership and creative teams to influence end results. Assists leadership in developing marketing campaigns and serve as the Marketing liaison for program leads or clients (including the administrative and physician leadership), external consultants/vendors in the development, planning and implementation of marketing campaigns while working closely with the department and other areas in Marketing and Communication. Primary duties include:

  • Leads and coordinates marketing efforts for select marketing projects; manage project lists, deliverable, timelines.
  • Assists the department in developing and implementing strategies, plans and tactics for overall marketing and communications plan, consult with the department on tactics for ad/branding campaigns.
  • Serves as the Marketing Liaison for program leads or clients (including the administrative and physician leadership), external consultants/vendors in the development, planning and implementation of marketing campaigns while working closely with the department and other areas in Marketing and Communication.
  • Compose written materials to support program projects/events.
  • Research and analyze markets; provide information and reports for the department and client group review.
  • Conduct research through online patient advisory panel, completing surveys, engaging organizational partners and providing reports.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, marketing, business administration or a related major highly preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience required, preferably in a healthcare or agency environment. 

Experience/Skills Sought:

We are seeking a self-motivated, problem solver. This self-starter, has strong writing skills, excellent interpersonal skills, is able to work independently and efficiently, has excellent organizational skills with attention to detail They have the ability to prioritize assignments and to manage several activities effectively under deadlines, and 

  • Experience in higher education, preferably at an academic medical center. 
  • Experience in Research/Academics/Education. 
  • Strong experience working with community-based organizations and diverse populations.
