Job Description:

Berklee is creating a new Senior Manager of Digital Media position. This person will primarily be

responsible for strategic execution of paid media tactics that fall under the Google Ads umbrella;
including but not limited to paid search, YouTube ads, display media, and Performance Max
advertising. In addition, this person will be expected to assist in the strategy, execution, and
reporting for additional digital media tactics, which may include display media, native
advertising, and partner marketing. This role will encompass the management of campaigns
across all of Berklee’s enrollment divisions, which include the Berklee College of Music
campuses in Boston, New York City, and Valencia, Spain, Berklee Online, Boston Conservatory
at Berklee, and Berklee Summer Programs.


The person who occupies this position needs to be detail oriented, data driven, proactive, and
acutely aware of digital performance metrics, while harnessing an ability to report on campaigns
regularly in a concise manner. The ideal candidate is someone with innovative ideas, market
awareness, a keen eye for detail, experience with managing large scale Google Ads accounts,
and a general ability to follow Berklee brand guidelines.


Reporting to the Senior Director of Enrollment Marketing, the Senior Manager of Digital Media
will work closely with key marketing stakeholders across the institution; including marketing and
marketing operations leads, data analysts, copywriters, video team members, graphic
designers, social media specialists, and other members of the organization to ensure
messaging and campaigns are accurate, on brand, and best serve the needs of current and
potential students.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, maintain, and execute digital marketing campaigns, primarily within Google Ads
  • Proactive data analysis, campaign optimization, and reporting (bi-weekly basis).
  • Translate business goals into effective campaigns that drive leads and revenue for the various enrollment divisions of Berklee
  • Ability to adjust strategy to meet the needs of the institution
  • Manage relationships and workflow with key stakeholders as it pertains to digital marketing campaigns
  • Translate analytics research into data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with key marketing and creative stakeholders to make sure creative assets and messaging are accurate and on brand

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience managing digital media campaigns, with a major focus on Google Ads. Experience with ad trafficking is highly desired.
  • Strong proficiency with written English and grammar
  • Data driven and detail oriented, with previous experience managing large budgets
  • Experience interpreting data into concise reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must and experience with data visualization software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing concepts
  • Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and communicate ideas clearly.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage others
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing projects effectively to deliver on-time. Must have the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Must have a great attitude and be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality and accuracy.
