Senior Manager, Global Health Law LLM - O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law - Georgetown University Law Center

Job Overview

The Senior Manager for Global Health Law LLM provides leadership, daily operational responsibility and control for the Law Center’s graduate programs in global health law.

Responsibilities include raising awareness of the programs among prospective applications and employers, recruitment of a diverse and talented group of students, relations with alumni of the programs, curriculum development and evaluation, recruitment of adjunct faculty to offer specialized courses in health law, evaluation of applications for admission to the program, career and academic counseling for students, and development of internship and externship placement opportunities.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic planning
  • Outreach and collaboration
  • Admissions and candidate selection
  • Curriculum development and extra-curricular programming
  • Academic and career advising
  • Teaching and/or research projects

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

The Senior Manager works closely with the Faculty Director, the Executive Director of the O’Neill Institute, and the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs at Georgetown Law.

They provide leadership, daily operational responsibility and control of Georgetown Law’s graduate health law programs and the O’Neill Institute’s Capacity Building initiative.

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Requirements and Qualifications

  • J.D. degree or another appropriate graduate degree
  • 3 to 5 years relevant job experience in health policy and law
  • Expertise in health law and policy and/or related fields such as international trade law and human rights law
  • Knowledge of and interest in academic program management and/or capacity building programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to working with a diverse student body and faculty
  • Team approach to problem solving

Preferred Qualification

Specialized training in public or global health, such as an M.P.H. or L.L.M.
