Position Title SENIOR LEARNING MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER
Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for supporting audio/visual and streaming technologies and developing multimedia learning objects used in academic courses and programs. This position is also responsible for all multimedia elements integrated into the delivery of course materials and live or virtual event streaming. The Senior Learning Multimedia Producer also coordinates with University constituents to advise and arrange live and virtual event streaming logistics for curricular purposes. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting faculty and staff in resolving technical problems in developing and/or revising content on the university streaming platform and works closely with faculty, staff, and students to model multimedia and streaming services that advance the academic mission and meet the needs of instructors and students. This position has the technical responsibilities for academic course and program multimedia development and support for innovative teaching, learning, and media streaming.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience that equates to four years.
Three years of relevant experience with multimedia and/or streaming applications.
Experience with event logistics and media streaming implications in complex environments.
Knowledge, experience, and skills in a combination of areas such as audio and video production, graphic design, web design, creating demonstrations/simulations, and live streaming.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of application software and hardware used in media delivery environments (lecture capture, video production, multimedia conversion, streaming, and virtual classrooms).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Demonstrated understanding of current computer applications, software packages, desktop software, multimedia materials, and online teaching and learning environments.
Must be able to research and implement current technological advances across a wide spectrum of technical disciplines: Audio, Video, Lighting, Computers, and Photography.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to document processes and develop training materials in an enterprise-level knowledge-base environment.
Ability to lift and transport video production and streaming equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Three years experience in a media-production environment.
Three years experience in a customer-service environment.
Three years experience providing training and support for an enterprise-level lecture capture platform.
Two years experience in a live video streaming environment using Panopto.
Experience using and supporting technologies such as learning management systems, remote support and training applications, project tracking applications, advanced video switching and encoding hardware and software, and project invoicing applications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provides administrative support and coordination for the production, critiquing, tracking, archiving, duplication, conversion, distribution, implementation, and invoicing of multimedia and streaming projects.
Develops and presents workshops for classroom technology initiatives.
Trains faculty and staff to effectively implement multimedia software and hardware across modalities.
Reviews and evaluates vendor software and hardware.
Assumes all other professional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Director, Learning Media Production.
Performs other duties as assigned.
