The Department of Dermatology, Section of Pediatric Dermatology, is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner at the Senior Instructor level, based on prior experience.  This position is for outpatient dermatology clinics within the Children’s Hospital Colorado system in the Denver metropolitan area. As a faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology, you will be focused on providing quality patient care as a part of a highly engaged patient care team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic dermatological issues
  • Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
  • Perform minor procedures and biopsies
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed
  • Coordinate care with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $115,000 - $121,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • NP licensed with prescriptive authority in the State of Colorado
  • NP Certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
  • 2 or more years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DEA Certificate
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred
  • Previous dermatology experience preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
