Job Summary:

Under general supervision by the Strategic HR Partner (SHRP) and dotted line supervision of the Sr. Manager, HR Service Delivery performs a variety of analytical activities in support of human resource administration to a designated set of departments/business units. Administers policies, programs, and processes covering several or all the following: talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, learning and development, and complex employee relations matters.

Job Duties:

  • Interprets and executes HR policies, including compensation and classification, employee relations, talent acquisition, work and leave administrations, and employment administration. Serve as the primary liaison to communicate changes on HR policies and programs.
  • Responsible for overall management of transactions by initiating, tracking, and closing actions in HCM. Transactions include, but are not limited to FTE actions, supplemental payments, leaves of absence, entering approved changes in funding, position creation/modification, terminations, and salary changes.
  • Serves as an escalation point for HRG I for complex human resources matters, such as, employee relations, compensation, learning and development, etc.
  • Support investigations by documenting issues and gathering information.
  • Responds to phone, email, in-person, and online inquiries to provide information related to HR processes and practices.
  • Participate in and/or lead special projects, as assigned, that enable the Office of Human Resources to contribute to the realization of UT Health goals.
  • Participates in client department meetings to confirm service expectations and anticipate upcoming needs.
  • Works closely with leaders/SHRP to understand business strategy and propose recommendations and implement resolutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of applicable experience is required, preferably in an exempt capacity.
  • PHR - Professional Human Resources Certification or SPHR - Sr. Professional Human Resource Certification is preferred.
