Responsibilities
As our Senior HR Generalist, you will serve as a primary point of contact for department leaders, providing appropriate resources, services and training in relation to their HR needs. You will consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate and work closely with management and employees to build morale and retention. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Maintain an understanding of HR practices and policies across all HR functions within the organization.
- Manage physician onboarding, new hire processing session including new hire benefits consultation.
- Manage physician employment life cycle in accordance to UCLA Health policy and contractual guidelines.
- Maintain department organizational chart and reporting structure, reviews actions including merit increases, promotions, and transfers.
- Support client department leaders in executing HR initiatives including performance reviews, merit increases and awards.
- Assist business leaders in submitting and processing HR transactions and requests.
- Support change initiatives partnering with HR BP and CoE to move the organization effectively through significant transformation such as growth, restructuring and process improvement.
