Position Details
Job Summary | Eastern Washington University, a regional comprehensive university, is seeking a Senior Grant Writer & Proposal Developer. The successful candidate will actively seek out grant opportunities and coordinate the development of grant proposals that will help to grow programs, increase the number of submissions across all disciplines at the University. The Grant Writer will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. Primary responsibilities include researching potential funding sources and preparing summaries to respond to faculty and administration areas of interest, support the preparation of preparation of proposals and grant applications, and responding to public and private grant opportunities in areas that support the research enterprises Eastern Washington University. This position requires the kind of teamwork, supervision, and personal interaction that cannot be had in home office situation; therefore, regular, and predictable on-site attendance is a job requirement. Conditions of Employment | This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
