Job Description ICF is currently seeking a Senior Fisheries Biologist with a regulatory focus in the Pacific Northwest. Work may be based out of an ICF office, remote or hybrid pending location. Position is based in Seattle or Portland with the option to work remotely full-time. This person will have a technical (non-managerial) focus and contribute to a range of projects across PNW ICF teams that require fisheries and regulatory support. With wide-ranging clients, projects may be focused on a variety of sectors including forestry science, river management, fisheries and hatcheries, restoration planning, off-shore wind operations, transportation, or others. Work may include research, writing, facilitation, and data-analysis. Strong communication and time-management skills are required.
Qualifications
What You Must Have • 6+ years of post-grad experience in fisheries biology • B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife, Environmental Science, Biology, or a similar field • Excellent oral and written communication skills • A track-record of successful support for fisheries and aquatics sections of regulatory analyses • A history working with private, public sector clients, and regulatory agencies • Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment and strong organization skills • Familiarity with Washington and Oregon environmental resources and associated regulatory environment. What We’d Like You to Have • M.S. or Ph.D. in Fisheries and Wildlife, Environmental Science, Biology, or a similar field • Experience as lead chapter-author on multiple fisheries regulatory documents • Research experience in the fisheries and aquatics field outside of regulatory support and compliance, including peer-reviewed publications • Business development experience and strong networking skills • Experience with facilitation This is an outstanding opportunity to work with talented and passionate individuals and to grow with a firm that believes in nurturing talent and developing long-term career success.
