Job Description
General Description:
The Senior Fiscal Technician, reporting to the SPCC and Receiving Program Administrator, supports the college charge card program and receiving operations. This position performs essential administrative functions, ensuring proper accounting, documentation and procedures are followed for payment processing.
Duties and Tasks:
  • The Fiscal Technician performs administrative tasks that includes customer support, auditing, reporting, filing and data processing.
  • Reviews charge card reconciliation submittals to ensure purchases are compliant and documents are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Receives against orders in eVA, following established procedures and protocols to ensure prompt payment of invoices.
  • Charge card reconciliation review, running reports and creating spreadsheets for auditing, performing eVA receiving for central departments and facilities
  • Resolving customer issues, and communication with campus departments, staff, and the Shared Services Center to resolve receiving related questions and issues.
  • Monitoring multiple inboxes, monitoring the college exception payment queues and sending invoices to end users for approval.
  • Performs backup receiving for campus storekeepers and assists with preparing documents and reports for tracking and audits.
Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSAs:
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Skilled in customer service with a focus on effectively building and fostering relationships and responding to customer inquiries with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and technical skills and ability to learn new software systems quickly and easily.
  • Highly organized and ability to learn a variety of new tasks, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to interact well with others and successfully participate in a strongly team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel and Word required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in accounting ,business and/or financial customer service-related field.
  • Experience in MS Office suite, including Excel and Word required.
