Nature of Work:
The Adult and Child Consortium for Health Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) has an opening for a full-time Academic Services Senior Professional (Senior Education Program Coordinator). The Senior Education Program Coordinator will work with ACCORDS Administrative team, Education Program, and other Cores/Programs in ACCORDS to support fiscal, event management, communications, and operational needs, as related to educational offerings. They will work both independently and in collaboration with team members and guest speakers who will be giving educational seminars hosted by ACCORDS.
The Senior Education Program Coordinator, under direction from the Education Program Core Lead, is responsible for coordinating all educational activity and events, as well as supporting the development and execution of marketing/communication strategies to promote ACCORDS educational offerings. The position will work closely with Core/Program Leads and Communications Director to coordinate, manage, and expand on various educational offerings, including meetings, workshops, seminars, and national conferences. The ideal candidate would be experienced in project management, event management, communications, technology, have some knowledge of health outcomes research and look for opportunities to implement additional strategies and growth.
Examples of Work Performed:
Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations for all educational offerings ensuring goals/objectives are accomplished in a timely and proactive manner.
- Collaborate with the Education Program Director to establish strategic direction and plans for educational activities and objectives
- Convene and manage planning committees for educational activities
- Manage production of durable educational materials and online interactive tools for research methods
- Design, implement, and report education program evaluation
- Lead/facilitate certain events or assist/train others
- Coordinate and facilitate group-planning meetings between the lead and other planning committee members for each event series or conference
- Create/track event budgets, honorariums, procurement, and travel reports within ACCORDS policies
- Create, post, and maintain calendar of educational events for related cores/programs, including website updates
- Manage registration platform, including landing pages, registration forms, event materials
- Prepare routine and non-routine correspondence, including but not limited to mass email messaging, newsletters, social media, event invitations, and follow-up
- Track attendance and engagement data; make recommendations regarding outreach and communication strategies based on results
- Assist with the daily management and yearly planning of all ACCORDS educational offerings; ability to identify opportunities or gaps in offerings
- Develop reports and/or gather research data for various reporting outcomes
- Track national programs, speakers, and faculty content expertise
- Manage certificate application cycles and onboard visiting trainees
- Frequent meetings with leadership, Communications Director, and/or other core/program leads to support educational offerings
- Professionally and effectively community with different levels across campus (administration, investigators, research staff, community partners, stakeholders, etc.)
- Record events – whether virtual or onsite; using various equipment and recording software
- Create and manage online event information in SiteFinity, Localist, HubSpot, and other websites.
- Frequent use of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Smartsheet, MailChimp, Formstack, emails/Outlook, social media, and desktop publishing
- Working knowledge of Canvas, SLATE, EndNote, Qualtrics, and other academic or communications software/platforms
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, public health or a directly related field from an accredited institution
- Two (2) years of program or event management experience
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in business, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, public health or a directly related field from an accredited institution
- Previous employment in a university environment
- Previous experience in a health care research environment
- Advanced technology and video experience
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate professionally, proactively, and effectively, both in writing and orally
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
- Advanced level abilities with Excel, Outlook, Zoom, calendar management, desktop publishing, and planning software
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Attention to detail, ability to work efficiently and proactively, adaptability in a changing environment
- Ability to multitask
- Successful demonstration of a history in event planning, program management, and/or education coordination
- Ability to manage many stakeholders at once

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established at $48,701- $61,948.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
