Collaborating closely with esteemed chancellors and gift officers from the University of Alaska Anchorage, the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Alaska Southeast as well as the University of Alaska Foundation team, the senior director will enhance donor engagement efforts and strategically position the universities for future gift opportunities. This role offers a chance to make a lasting impact on Alaska Native communities by supporting programs that uplift indigenous populations while contributing to educational equity and cultural preservation.

This is a remarkable opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to join the team as the primary representative in the Lower 48 states. In this expansive role, one will have the freedom and autonomy to tap into untapped prospects of all constituencies across the US and forge new relationships with donors who have yet to be engaged.

As a key driver of UA’s fundraising efforts, this role will play a pivotal role in making an immediate impact on goals. This position offers an exceptional platform for one to demonstrate one’s expertise, creativity and strategic thinking as one navigates uncharted territories and unlock new potential for transformative gifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in philanthropy, communications, marketing, public relations, business, public administration, or other field.
Minimum of seven years of related experience in a similar position that includes a heavy emphasis on philanthropic relationship building and private gift proposal writing in the Lower 48 states.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package .
