Reporting to the Ohio State Online Enrollment leader and serving as a leader within the Enrollment team, the Senior Director of Online Web and CRM will lead and manage the strategy and all technical aspects of Ohio State Online’s website and CRM instance to ensure the Enrollment team’s efforts are as efficient and effective as possible. 

The Senior Director of Online Web and CRM provides leadership, strategic direction and the technical know-how to ensure Ohio State Online’s key systems are always running as efficiently and as effectively as possible. This includes developing the strategy for continual evolution of the tools, doing the technical coding as needed, automation building, API construction, plug-in updating, performance reporting, and similar technical aspects. They will also need to manage and understand their budget to ensure Ohio State Online has the correct number of licenses, etc. for all users across platforms.

This person will lead a team of direct reports to help fulfill Ohio State Online’s goal to find and serve prospects and students by managing the group that keeps the technology running. The role will serve as a senior collaborator within Ohio State Online and work closely with the enrollment team and potentially other teams to understand their technical needs and collaborate on a plan to deliver them.

The Senior Director of Online Web and CRM will need to work closely with the Buckeye360 team as part of the Ohio State enterprise as well as the BuckUX team for the website to build out integrated solutions as needed. The Senior Director will also manage external vendors as needed to deliver whatever platforms enable student enrollment as well as potential other OTDI partners.

This person will manage operations on the website that will include future-proofing enhancements, strategy development with the marketing leaders for the UX, performance analytics, SEO, API integrations, conducting training and managing the UI, and any other functions that support the operation of the website. This person will use project management tools and methodologies to deliver requirements and timelines as needed.

This person will direct and lead the Ohio State Online CRM solution including automations, data field maintenance, administration and training, roles and hierarchy development, integrations, and any additional aspects that enhance the system for the users. They will also have to be versed in project management to deliver expected timelines. This person will need to help develop an overarching architecture that supports the growth of online enrollment while also fitting within the overall Ohio State enterprise architecture.

Education and Experience

Required:  Bachelor’s degree required. 10+ years in information systems, information technology, website administration, CRM administration or related field. Experience in CRM administration; website administration; API integrations; texting tools through a CRM; CRM scheduling tools; people management; leading technology projects in team and distributed environments, collaborative, positive client service attitude. Broad knowledge and expertise in project management, technical, hands-on implementations and collaborating across a large organization.

Desired: Master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred. 15+ years of experience preferred. Experience in higher education and a large enterprise preferred. 7+ years of people management. Experience and broad knowledge in Salesforce; Drupal website administration; API integrations (Zapier); Twilio; OnceHub; OWNBackup, Blackhorn tools and chatbot management.
