Senior Corporate Engagement Account Manager - CTU Online

The Senior Corporate Engagement Account Manager will be the face of Colorado Technical University to external businesses for CTU’s Education Alliance Center, and represent the entire range of CTU programs and services to the B2B marketplace.  This role acts as a mentor to the EAC’s Business Development Consultants, and is focused on the EAC’s largest and most strategic clients.

  • Acts as a mentor and coach to the EAC’s Corporate Engagement Account Manager providing sales guidance and coaching on prospecting, client meetings, sales techniques, relationship building, and delivering value. 
  • Provides direct field support at meetings and events to Corporate Engagement Account Manager and Client Engagement Specialists.
  • Support and assist the CEAMs and CESs in the development of EAC relationships with current clients as necessary by attending relevant conferences, client meeting, client events, and collaborating on projects.
  • Collaborate with CEAMs and CESs to review and provide feedback on draft client communication plans.  
  • Focus on managing the EAC’s largest and most strategic clients.
  • Develops new relationships with assigned companies in target markets.
  • Conducts client needs analysis to establish client goals and expectations to form B2B agreements that create meaningful educational benefit solutions for the client.
  • Manages client engagement to expand partnerships through relationship building and diversification, employee communication opportunities, and recommending relevant solutions.
  • Identifies, prospects, and qualifies new client opportunities, promoting the value of CTU educational products and solutions for the prospective company and its employees.
  • Negotiates service, program, product, and pricing agreements.
  • Proactively leads strategic account planning that develops mutual client performance objectives with associated milestones.
  • Develops and leads client marketing campaigns that promote the university to new and existing corporate partnerships.
  • Coordinates internal and external resources, including corporate support, student support services, and marketing resources to meet client performance objectives and expectations
  • Relentlessly pursues the highest levels of customer service, proactively assessing, clarifying, and catering to client needs
  • Diligently maintains strategic internal client database in Salesforce, and shares information across internal teams
  • Using Salesforce and collaborating with EAC operations, track sales and marketing goals, initiatives, success and break points.
  • Provide feedback on the content, design, and functionality of client landing pages in order to increase traffic and leads.
  • Recommend marketing assets for standard and customized products to positively impact the EAC and sales team effectiveness.
  • Recommend internal process and procedure improvements for client support opportunities and marketing opportunities
  • Research and identify new market opportunities
  • Monitor and provide competitive market intelligence

Education and Experience:  Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
  • 10 years of experience in business to business (B2B) sales
  • History of acquiring and developing Fortune 1000 relationships
  • Formal sales training

Education and Experience:  Preferred

  • MBA from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
  • Experience working for a higher education institution in a B2B capacity
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Experience working with Fortune 500 companies on behalf of a college, university, or other educational institution
  • Understanding of university operations including student enrollment, marketing, and recruiting 
  • Wilson Learning Counselor Salesperson training
