Position Title: Senior Coordinator of Recruitment

Advertised Salary: $46,000-$49,000 salary commensurate with education, experiences, and other requirements. Comprehensive benefit package (health care, vacation, etc.)

Summary of Position: Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of students from underrepresented populations to the University’s undergraduate programs. Engage in recruitment practices which are in keeping with the Division’s Mission and Vision Statements.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Required Work Experience: Work experience in an aspect of recruitment, marketing, and/or public relations.
Required Licenses and Certifications: Possess valid driver’s license.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Two years of demonstrated work experience in higher education or other personnel recruitment setting.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Broaden outreach and community connections to create greater awareness of the college's mission, values, programs, and contributions to key populations.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with counselors from high schools and community-based organizations with a substantial numbers of students from underrepresented populations.
Serve as the lead recruiter in regional territories
Develop and oversee visit programs for students from low-income and first-generation backgrounds.
Provide outstanding customer service to prospective students and their families.
Participate in all aspects of the general admissions process, including: Meeting freshman and transfer enrollment goals in assigned territory. Traveling to high schools, colleges, and recruiting events as a representative of the University.
Use initiative and sound judgment in administrative matters, within the authority designated by the Dean or designee.
Establish and maintain communications and coordination with administration, faculty, academic counselors, and staff on all pertinent recruiting issues, through meetings, conferences, and written communications as required.
Develop a strategic plan for Community Building in specifically targeted areas.
Focus on specific populations for recruitment efforts, i.e. Career/Tech. Centers and Articulations.
Develop and implement a plan for recruitment of Homeschooled students.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities: Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills which include attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient with information technology and its applications for delivery and management of student recruitment.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with a varied and diverse group of constituents.
Research, explore and recommend effective methods of recruitment practices.
Communicate successfully, both oral and written, to include public speaking.
Project a positive image and establish good rapport with the public.
Travel with overnight stays; work nights and weekends when necessary.
Demonstrated commitment, experience and understanding for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
