Summary
Job Purpose

The Curriculum Coordinator ensures smooth and orderly functioning of courses within the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) by providing support to faculty for delivery of the curriculum. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of curricula, practices, and procedures. Provides support to faculty for course delivery; compliance with existing policies, procedures, and documentation; administration of various educational technology and management systems; and assists the Curriculum Manager with various duties as assigned.


Job Duties
  • Maintains academic records related to Graduate School course delivery, including course syllabi, class rosters, and course proposals.
  • Provides oversight and administrative support to faculty, staff, and students utilizing various educational systems including Blackboard content management system.
  • Compiles back-up material and documentation on matters relating to students, courses and faculty training and educational efforts.
  • Provides support for the scheduling and tracking of Teaching Assistants.
  • Provides support for scheduling and tracking student Mentor training activities.
  • Facilitates collection, analysis, and presentation of student and faculty data, not limited to course and faculty evaluations, course scheduling.
  • Assists with data entry and maintenance of course catalog and scheduling information within student information systems.
  • Assists with organization and implementation of recruitment events, research conferences and retreats, orientations, and other related functions.
  • Provides assistance to faculty with course delivery as requested.
  • Provides administrative support Curriculum Manager and Associate Dean.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or related field.
  • Experience with administrative functions of Blackboard CMS.
