Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:
We are currently seeking a full-time and onsite Senior Contract Analyst for our Purchasing department. The Senior Contract Analyst will be responsible for creating/reviewing/negotiating all purchasing and university-wide contracts and will also serve as the liaison to bookstore and external vending partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating/reviewing and negotiating all purchasing and university-wide contracts, amendments, and renewals compliant within University contracting guidelines.
- Negotiate contract terms amongst vendors and stakeholders for optimal outcome for the University.
- Confer and coordinate such agreements as indicated with pertinent Purdue departments such as Risk Management, REM, ITS, Office of Treasury, Purchasing, Purdue University contracts and Office of Legal Counsel.
- Execute contracts/agreements within delegated authority.
- In partnership with pertinent stakeholders determine if the vendor and department performance and behaviors are in accordance with contract deliverables.
- Ensure contract disputes are handled appropriately.
- Coordinate with advisory teams to promote good working relationships with on-campus service providers.
- Responsible for the organization of contracts and advising pertinent stakeholders of upcoming expirations.
- Coordinate contract training, template revisions with pertinent Fort Wayne staff and Purdue University contracts.
- Serve as University resource for contract policy, questions or issues.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, contract law, business or a related field.
- Excellent oral/written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-directed with proven skills in leadership.
- Able to effectively build relationships with stakeholders and negotiate with the university’s best interest in mind.
- Experience with databases, word processing, internet, and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-5 years experience in contract law and business finance in university environment.
