The Senior College Admissions Recruiter, reporting to the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions, plays a key role in promoting Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC) and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including prospective students, families, and high school counselors. This individual will be responsible for effectively communicating admissions requirements, scholarship offerings, and financial aid opportunities while managing and growing the Adult Learner and Tradition Freshman populations through a strategic, data-driven annual plan. In addition to traditional recruiting responsibilities, the Senior Recruiter will focus on improving conversion rates throughout the admissions funnel (e.g., prospects, applicants, admits, and enrolled students), working toward meeting and exceeding institutional goals set within the strategic enrollment plan. The role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional who can identify market trends, adapt quickly to changes, and implement strategies to ensure continued enrollment growth. This position requires significant travel, including overnight stays and weekend commitments. The Senior College Admissions Recruiter must adhere to strict confidentiality protocols in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA regulations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure the AMSC website is current and accurately reflects recruitment materials, events, and admissions information. 
  • Maintain and update recruitment materials, including brochures, digital content, and presentations, to ensure they are relevant and aligned with institutional goals.
  •  Build, expand, and strengthen relationships with high school counselors, community organizations/partnership, and educational partners to expand recruitment opportunities and increase student enrollment 
  • Focus on increasing recruitment and engagement with Adult Learners and Freshman students through targeted outreach efforts and tailored messaging.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute recruitment and admissions events, including open houses, information sessions, recruitment programs, admitted student events, and other on-campus and community-based initiatives. Responsibilities include developing event timelines, coordinating logistics, communicating with campus partners, managing registration and attendee communications, and conducting post-event followup. 
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to attract a diverse student population, with particular emphasis on assigned partnerships/groups.
  • Manage recruitment efforts using the institution¿s CRM system to track prospective student interactions, follow up on inquiries, and maintain detailed records of recruitment activities.
  •  Analyze CRM data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment campaigns, identify trends, and recommend adjustments to improve funnel conversion rates. 
  • Assist with on-campus recruitment activities and support admitted students through the transition process to ensure a smooth enrollment experience. 
  • Develop and maintain policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with institutional and NACAC guidelines and best practices.
  • Set and monitor funnel targets, strategic recruitment goals, and performance metrics, providing regular feedback and adjustments to improve overall recruitment success. 
  • Work collaboratively with other Recruitment and Admissions team members, Deans, and institutional partnerships to meet institutional enrollment goals and objectives as outlined in the strategic plan
  • .Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of student information and recruitment processes in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA regulations. 

Guidelines: 

  •  Guidelines include AMSC policies, Board of Regents policies, and NACAC standards, requiring discretion and professional judgment in their application. Complexity and Scope of Work: 
  • The position involves complex tracking, coordination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Success is measured through the achievement of specific enrollment goals. 

     

     

Education: Bachelor¿s degree Experience: Least one year of experience in a higher education, business, or student engagement environment.

 Associate¿s degree with three years of relevant experience. Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently
