Job Overview

In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.

 

Two full-time senior clinical research professional positions are available in the Department of Radiology.  Our imaging services are growing rapidly, and these positions will provide technical support and assistance. Duties can span a broad range of activities but will primarily focus on imaging related clinical research functions associated with the Radiology Imaging Services Core Lab at the University of Cincinnati. 


Essential Functions
  • Plan and coordinate clinical research projects.
  • Assist in protocol development and provide input into descriptions of routine research processes.
  • Assist with Radiology Imaging Services Core Lab with development related to administrative duties including billing and scheduling.
  • Serves as a primary contact for clinical centers in multi-center research studies.
  • Develop study materials – serving to train imaging sites.
  • Assist in the development and testing of trial/study imaging infrastructure.
  • Assure study protocol compliance.
  • Screen, recruit, and obtain informed consents for clinical trials/studies.
  • Perform QA/QC of imaging data.
  • Assist study/trial team with various research related tasks.
  • Collect and enter clinical research data required by the sponsors in a timely manner.
  • Utilizes proprietary software for image analysis and segmentation.
  • Help the study/trial team in preparation of the data for DSMB, manuscripts for publication and/or presentation at national meetings.
  • Collect and maintain regulatory documents from subjects and assist in preparation of required regulatory forms and documentation according to protocol.

Minimum Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in healthcare, biology, engineering or other relevant fields.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirements.
  • One year of related experience in a medical, academic or radiology or neurology environment.

Required Experience
  • Three (3) years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Master’s degree or higher training
  • Working experience in a medical, academic or radiology or neurology environment.
  • Experience with using RedCap.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong focus on flexibility, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, good follow-up, and judgment and prioritize.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with staff, physicians, nurses, managers, trial sponsors and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively for reading and writing e-mail, letters, Manual of Operations, Case Report Forms, and other reports or company documents.
  • Analyze information and solve problems relating to imaging and on case report forms.
