The Sr. Athletic Assistant (Sr. Analyst), is responsible for providing support to the Offensive Coordinator (Assistant Football Coach). What you need to know

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Three years of football coaching experience at High School, collegiate or professional setting

   

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Background in NCAA rules
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

 

Other Requirements or Other Factors

  • Travel required
  • Nights, weekends and holidays as required to complete assigned duties

Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree

 

Responsibilities:

  • Video Analysis - Review analysis of football video for assigned Athletic Assistants respective football student-athletes, as well as those of the assigned position of opponents.
  • Football Video - Compile video analysis from Athletic Assistants and football staff and distribute to Offensive Coordinator. All other necessary duties involving the handling of football video.
  • Liaison - Liaison between football coaching staff (offense), coaches video staff and Offensive Coordinator, providing specific football positions, (as well as those of the assigned positions of opponents), video information and statistics as requested.
  • Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athletes: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality and other areas as deemed appropriate. Maintains awareness of and supports the diversity and inclusion initiatives of the Athletics Department. Performs other duties as assigned.
