The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is now hiring a Senior Associate Registrar. The Senior Associate Registrar is a new managerial position reporting to the University Registrar that provides operational planning, direction and supervision for all Office of the Registrar activities that pertain to the ERAU residential campuses. This position is located at our Worldwide Headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL.

With responsibility for approximately 22 employees across two residential campus offices, this is a position for a skilled manager of people, programs and technology. The Senior Associate Registrar serves as a member of the senior leadership team in the Office of the Registrar and represents the University Registrar at the request of, or in their absence. With direction from the University Registrar, the Senior Associate Registrar will partner with the division leadership team to foster an environment that sets clear expectations and is cohesive, imaginative, data-driven and results-oriented, and also further a culture that is guided by rigorous analysis and data-informed planning.

On an operational level, the Senior Associate Registrar is responsible for leading and supervising activities that support the daily maintenance, integrity, retention and disposal of all student data, academic records and course schedules for students on the residential campuses. Ensuring campus-wide adherence to university policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, is an important component of this role. The Senior Associate Registrar will manage all staff and functions associated with student and university academic recordkeeping on the residential campuses, including but not restricted to: planning and executing orderly student matriculation, registration, degree audit and conferral activities; coordinately and developing academic calendars and course schedules; maintaining, securing and retaining student records; developing and delivering complex data analyses and reports; preparing annual evaluations, coaching for success, and administering feedback measures for staff; reporting early alert, midterm and final grades; preparing and distributing enrollment verifications, degree certifications, official transcripts and diplomas; maintaining compliance with university academic policies, HEOA and FERPA regulations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in management, higher education, or other appropriate field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of work experience in Records and Registration, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Expertise to lead teams and an open and collaborative leadership style that builds trust across constituencies among all campuses.
  • A passion for advancing diversity and equity and enhancing inclusiveness; experience bringing individuals of varying backgrounds and differing viewpoints together to find common ground.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems, data mining and information technology, along with demonstrated experience developing and utilizing that technology, in a large and complex university setting.
  • An interest in engagement of campus constituents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Confidence and excitement about change.
  • Sound judgment and integrity.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication as well as critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task; a self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
