Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports, the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Governance will provide strategic leadership to the athletic department and the University community to ensure compliance with policies, rules, and regulations of the institution, the Atlantic 10, and Patriot League Conferences, and the NCAA
This position requires frequent travel, as well as evening and weekend hours.

Essential Functions:


Oversees all compliance department activities, educational programs, publications, manuals and website to ensure institutional compliance with University, NCAA, Patriot League and Atlantic 10 Conference regulations.
Serves as primary contact for all NCAA and conference interpretive requests.
Is responsible for the implementation and oversight of student-athlete-specific policies and procedures.
Serves as a member of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics' Cabinet
Acts as liaison with the NCAA Eligibility Center and monitors initial eligibility for prospective incoming student-athletes.
Serves as liaison to Financial Aid, Residential Life, and Admissions on behalf of the Department of Athletics.
Assists the Certification Officer with initial and continuing eligibility of student-athlete certification.
Monitors the practice and playing seasons and recruiting activities for all sports, as well as status of incoming and outgoing transfer of student-athletes.
Oversees the management of rosters, ensuring that they are accurate and distributed to University constituents.
Assists with data collection for mandatory and internal reporting.
Assists with the oversight of the NCAA Student Assistance Fund from the collection of applications to the distribution of checks.
Coordinates the National Letter of Intent Program.
Supervises administrative and competitive aspects of assigned programs as a sport administrator.
Develops and maintains up-to-date Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) educational materials for student-athletes, recruits, coaches, and staff; schedules NIL speakers and identifies additional external resources for education and program development.
Manages, tracks and monitors athletic scholarships, summer school awards, book awards and meal plans for scholarship student-athletes.
Assists in the coordination of internal NCAA and conference reviews and associated reports.
Complies with all NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference and University rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 4 years' experience working in NCAA compliance at a Division I institution.
Previous experience with ARMS or comparable program.

Preferred Qualifications:


Advanced degree

Minimum Salary: $90,000

Maximum Salary: $113,000
