Department Summary
Teacher Education & Administration is responsible for preparing educators for the future. Teacher Education provides the classes for degrees and certifications related to the teaching and administrative profession.
Position Overview
The position is responsible for greeting visitors, customers, employees, students, and vendors. Acts as the coordinator for a variety of administrative tasks. Maintains files, retrieves and compiles data for different levels of authority.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and three years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Exceptional customer service skills. 
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills. 
• Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. 
• Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. 
• Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex 
nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. 
• Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively. 
• Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. 
• Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. 
• Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned 
function. 
• Supervisory skills.

Job Duties


o
Office coverage and reception responsibilities, which may include, answering phones, greeting guests, mail pickup and dissemination, bank deposits, and maintaining the cleanliness and ensuring the suite and work spaces are presentable.
o
Administrative support to include but not limited to, coordination of SPOT, employee email, FIS, and Canvas accounts, submitting work requests, group email coordination, access control, syllabus coordinator, and audit roll and grade input coordinator, tracks and communicates UNT mandatory training for employees, inventory coordinator, and teaching observation coordinator.
o
Accounting responsibilities including but not limited to, expense reimbursement requests, IDT and ABA submissions, and submitting requisitions.
o
Maintain a consistent filing system, which includes consistent and logical naming of all documents, and transferring hard copy documents to an electronic format.
o
Special projects as assigned.
