Position Overview
The Sr. Administrative Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Associate Dean’s office. They will provide direct support for the Associate Dean for Faculty Success & Student Experience and the Associate Dean for Research.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and three years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Exceptional customer service skills. 
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills. 
• Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. 
• Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. 
• Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex 
nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. 
• Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively. 
• Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. 
• Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. 
• Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned 
function. 
• Supervisory skills.

Job Duties


o
Direct administrative support for the Associate Dean for Faculty Success & Student Experience and the Associate Dean for Research, which includes but not limited to, maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, providing assistance with any project or program, processing travel, expense reports and purchases.
o
Office coverage and reception responsibilities: answering phones, maintaining the appearance and ensuring the suite and work spaces are presentable, greeting all visitors, faculty, staff and students who enter the office.
o
Liaison between industry, University and college departments for the Associate Dean for Faculty Success & Student Experience for the college mentoring program and following up throughout the program.
o
Dean’s office inventory and assets coordinator.
o
Provides back-up and support to the Executive Assistant to the Dean and other Sr. Administrative Specialist as needed.
