Senior Administrative Program Coordinator
Tulane Heart & Vascular Institute
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
This is a full-time position within the Section of Cardiology. Primary responsibilities include licensing & credentialing support for faculty, Cardiology section and TUMG clinic office accounting functions, backup for continuing medical education events and basic administrative support for faculty, fellows and section.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Familiarity with credentialing & licensing website portals
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with individuals internal and external to the organization in an effective, courteous, and productive manner
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail and exceptional follow-through.
• Ability to work independently to complete tasks.
• Working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Required Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Three years’ experience in hospital or medical insurance credentialing 
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1 year of accounting experience
• Familiarity of J-1 and H-1B Visas for International Faculty, Medical Residents & Research Scholars
• Experience in event coordination
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
