Job Description

SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, MIT LEADERSHIP CENTER, Sloan School of Management, to provides high-level support for a Sloan faculty member who also serves as faculty director for a Sloan academic center (MIT Leadership Center), two additional senior lecturers who hold positions associated with the MIT Leadership Center, and general support for the MIT Leadership Center. Will synthesize and communicate clearly and evaluate tasks with an eye toward efficiency for all parties; develop and/or use in-depth knowledge of the Institute and other departments to anticipate and initiate actions regarding office operations; and interpret and resolve highly varied situations and problems. Will serve as a high-level individual contributor and coordinator of multiple projects and work effectively as part of cross-disciplinary teams that include staff from other departments, faculty, vendors, and students; collaborate effectively with peers across Sloan and the Institute; provide excellent customer service to internal and external constituencies; and manage confidential issues using discretion and sound judgment.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years of administration, office, or related experience; service orientation; self-motivation; comfort working in a fast-paced environment; excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and verbal (including over the telephone) and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail orientation; ability to manage a high volume of work; and proficiency with standard PC applications including Microsoft Office and PowerPoint. PREFERRED: proficiency with SAP, Concur, Canvas, and ECAT. Job #23747-6
