Senior Accountant I

The Senior Accountant I is responsible for daily financial activities for grants and contracts; maintains and reconciles financial databases, schedules, and records; analyzes and reports data; responds to requests for financial information; prepares grant reports and invoices; verifies and corrects data with adjusting journal entries; reviews documentation; performs special projects.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related area.
2-4 years' experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting operations, laws, and terminology
Verbal and written communication skills
Accounting and bookkeeping skills
Attention to detail
Ability to operate a personal computer, and various software programs
Ability to design, analyze, and prepare financial reports
Ability to monitor expenditures and maintain data
Ability to reconcile accounts and prepare analysis
Ability to interpret accounts and records
Ability to maintain confidentiality
