Qualifications

Required: 

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to obtain and convey information clearly, accurately and in a timely manner. 

Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision and set priorities in order to meet varying demands, changes in priorities and competing deadlines.

Ability to establish and maintain checks and balances to control projects and activities to meet established deadlines.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Personnel, Personal and Patient information and discuss personnel/payroll matters of sensitive nature.

Ability to work as part of an administrative team; collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines.

Working knowledge of U.S. and foreign visa requirements

Skill and knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets and databases (WordPerfect, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) to prepare memos and reports.

Skill in interpreting, explaining, and applying complex policies such as the Academic Personnel Manual, and the CALL.

Analytical skills to evaluate personnel information to define problems, identify relevant concerns or factors, formulate logical and objective conclusions, and recognize alternative methods and their implications.

Preferred:

Knowledge of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, UCPath, FPM, Payroll policies and procedures, and UC Benefits
