Job Description
ECU Department of Technology Systems is currently seeking a Graduate Assistant.
Dr. Sohan Gyawali, Assistant Professor, Department of Technology Systems is looking for a Graduate Assistant to support research tasks. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Information and Cybersecurity/Computer Technology, Computer Science etc.) and be currently enrolled as a graduate student at the university. Your job duties will include assisting Dr. Sohan Gyawali in his research tasks, and lab setup. Graduate Assistants are expected to perform their own graduate-level research and maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA.
Work hours: 20 hrs/week (flexible work schedule)
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Preferred:
  • Experience in cybersecurity or machine learning or explainable AI
  • Thesis Track


Graduate Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
  • ·Perform your own graduate-level research
  • Assist faculty with their research as requested
  • Submit research works to conferences/journals

Graduate Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as a graduate or post-grad student at the university
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Research and coding skills (Python/R/Java/Linux or any)
  • Flexible schedule
