Job Summary
Employees in this class are under general supervision. Work performed in supervising and performing campus security, protecting property, facilities, citizens, staff, and students; coordinating activity with law enforcement officers; maintaining CPR certification; acting as an emergency responder; and performing related work as required.
Primary responsibility will be ETSU, Allendale campus but may be assigned to other ETSU locations. Hours will be set by ETSU Allendale Administrative Staff.
This position may be required to work in inclement weather or weather extremes and be confined to a service vehicle for an entire shift. As a Security Guard, you may be exposed to hazardous materials, infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, steam, car battery acid, loud noises, smoke, and fire.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
  • Age 18 or Older.
  • Successful completion of background investigation.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Proven customer service and communication skills, such as active listening and service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Flexible availability, including nights.
Salary $16.36/hourly
