Summary

The Junior Integration Developer is responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and implementation of integration solutions for data exchanges of various On-Premises and Cloud-based applications. In addition, the role is responsible for the day-to-day support of existing integrations and data integrity across platforms supported by the CRM unit. The role will help facilitate solutions to business problems, solutions that will be applied to university business processes.


Essential Functions

1. Assists in the implementation of integration solutions throughout all phases of the development lifecycle by:

  • Assisting in translating the design and specifications of the integration solution into a solution plan. Is in charge of supporting the development and test of the solution through the entire software development lifecycle.

  • Assisting in the implementation of solutions utilizing integration development software like Boomi Integration platform, SQL Server Integration Services, ETL, REST/SOAP/JSON, and Postman.

  • Performing data analyses using tools like PowerBI, PowerQuery, and PowerPivot.

  • Prepare and maintain appropriate technical documentation for solutions.

2. Continuously measure and improve data quality and consistency across all supported platforms by:

  • Developing reports/dashboards to track and measure the results of data quality improvements.

  • Implementing a quality control framework for ensuring data consistency during imports.

  • Research reported data anomalies, identifying root causes, and propose solutions.

3. Assists on the ongoing effort to continuously iterates on integrations development with an emphasis on security, data integrity and development lifecycles

  • Stays up to date on integrations development software capabilities and releases and identifies what would be a good fit for future and current integration solutions

  • Actively solicit the involvement of other team members and subject matter experts to ensure integrity, efficiency, and supportability of integrations.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer & Information Systems or related discipline.

  •  Demonstrate proficiency on a programming language

  •  Basic understanding of integration technologies i.e., SOAP & REST web services, JSON/XML, XSLT, etc.

  • Basic understanding of relational database schema design.

  • Must be able to manage unstructured tasks within specific guidelines and time constraints and function in a consultant capacity with self-direction and focus on project deliverables.

  • Ability to analyze business problems and propose viable solutions.

  • Ability to work independently.
