Summer College Preview Program (SCPP)

The Summer College Preview Program in Qatar is currently searching for an instructor to teach Calculus for this coming summer.  The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a class of high school students.  The class time is roughly 60 minutes a day over a three-week period for a total of 15 hours of instruction

The SCPP is a three-week academic pre-university program for academically talented high school students who will be going into their junior and senior years (grades 11 & 12).  The SCPP has been created to help high school students in Qatar and the surrounding region prepare themselves to gain admission to American universities and, more importantly, to excel once they are accepted.  The program focuses on preparation in Math, English, Programming as well as a Class in one of our four majors that are offered in Qatar: Business Administration, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, and Information Systems.

In your letter of intent, you should demonstrate that you:

*can adapt to rapidly changing classroom dynamics;
*can negotiate unique linguistic and cultural differences;
*can negotiate the difficulties of working in a diverse cultural environment.

The program runs from June 30 – July 18, 2024.
