Job Summary
The ideal candidate has a PhD degree and at least 5 years of experience in neuroscience research. The candidate has a strong interest in transdisciplinary and translational research and is dedicated to exploring blood-brain barrier and neurovascular function to improve treatment of brain disorders.
 A background in neuroscience, blood-brain barrier/neurovascular research, transport biology, and/or cell signaling is preferred. Candidates are expected to be highly motivated, detail-oriented, have outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and must have an excellent work ethic.
The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for independently designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments. Methods will include stereotactic surgery, video-EEG, in vivo imaging, behavioral assays, biochemical, molecular, and functional assays. The candidate will also be responsible for leading and managing NIH-funded research projects and establishing new methods.
